Job Title: Network Operations Lead

SUMMARY

The agency protects the retirement income of more than 33 million American workers in private sector defined benefit pension plans. A defined benefit plan provides a specified monthly benefit at retirement, often based on a combination of salary and years of service. This contract is for the delivery of IT infrastructure services and support needed for the agency's mission. This contract will serve as a strategic tool to navigate the dynamic and ever-evolving landscape of IT requirements.

The IT Network Manager shall manage and oversee the architecture, design, engineering, implementation, operation and maintenance of the agency's voice, video and data networks.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Furthermore, this position will perform the following duties:

• Manage the voice, video, and data networks of a complex IT environment

• Perform quality oral and written communication relevant to IT networking for a complex IT environment

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

• Manage the IT network operations team

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Certifications

• ITIL 4 Foundation OR Practitioner

• Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) OR Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

• STRONGLY PREFERRED:

• 15 years management IT Networking

• Manage Voice, Video, Data Networks in similar size / scope

• Bachelors in IT disciplines

• DevSecOps Foundation Certification

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of network architectures to include LAN / WAN, Layer-2 switching, Layer-3 routing protocols, and MS Azure Cloud networking

• Strong understanding of virtualization networking

• Knowledge of tools necessary to monitor and manage an extensive network environment

Preferred Skills

• Management of DevSecOps environments in similar size / scope

• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies including Agile / Waterfall

• Strong Ability to create, implement and manage large complex Government IT projects

• Strong understanding of data analysis, metrics and reporting

• Excellent Communications skills

• Strong team/personnel leadership skills

• Strong understanding of and ability to demonstrate the Agile Defense Core Values: Happy, Helpful, Honest, Humble, Hungry, Hustle

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions

• Contractor site with possible off-hours work to support releases and/or VIP troubleshooting issues. Work requires standing and walking up to 25% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Travel may be required to assist team with fielding operations at remote site locations

Strength Demands

• Light - 20 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs. A job is light if less lifting is involved but significant walking/standing is done or if done mostly sitting but requires push/pull on arm or leg controls.
