Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE

Reporting to the International Fragrance Marketing Collection Director, the Strategic Marketing Projects Manager defines, leads, and coordinates strategic cross-department projects in line with the Maison’s strategy and coordinates key momentum for the fragrance marketing department: the strategic plan, the annual world meeting, and Tax-free and other projects/topics. She/he supports the activity by defining together with the Collection Director the priorities for the category. As a key player in the fragrance team, she/he also coordinates projects that apply transversally to the department. She/he has a transversal overview of the strategy and activities of the department and oversees transversal functions: business intelligence (performance incl. sales, comm, clients, …), strategic plan for Exco meetings, project management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. DEFINE AND LEAD STRATEGIC PROJECTS FOR THE DEPARTMENT
    Working closely with the Marketing Collection Director and key stakeholders, she/he:
    - Defines the strategy and priorities for the department & elaborates the 3-year strategic plan in cooperation with the group managers of the department.
    - Defines and leads the Fragrance Brand Platform in a context of acceleration and transformation within the category (in collaboration with key stakeholders and external partners).
    - Leads and coordinates strategic transversal topics in close collaboration with Marketing Communication and Client Teams (MCC community): Operations, Pricing, E-commerce, Data, Finance, Commercial, etc., and is the key referent for the fragrance marketing department on those projects.
    - Plays a key role in the transformation and modernization of the department, promoting and implementing new tools, processes, and ways of working in collaboration with various fields of expertise (digital, innovation, etc.) and other product categories.
    - Creates a strong partnership with all stakeholders to ensure effective and constructive collaboration.
  2. MONITOR THE FRAGRANCE BUSINESS, MARKET AND COMPETITOR INTELLIGENCE
    Working closely with the Marketing team, Markets, and Operations and with the support of one business analyst (trainee), she/he:
    - Monitors the fragrance performance, including sales, clients, and communication KPIs, providing regular in-depth qualitative analysis of the business.
    - Monitors forecasts together with Merchandising and Operations.
    - Coordinates presentations to Executive Committee.
    - Provides reports on competition & financial analysis.
    - Ensures continuous improvement of the sales reports & tools.
    - Coordinates and provides recommendations for price reviews.
    - Main interlocutor of CMO and CFO offices.
  3. COORDINATE BUSINESS AND PROJECTS MONITORING WITH MARKETS
    She/he coordinates the different meetings with key markets (business review, identification of key priorities, follow-up, …) and accompanies them in the orchestration of their action plan. She/he leads the meetings with the international commercial department, based in Meyrin, and is the key marketing contact for all subjects related to commercial topics (business updates, assortment in retail/wholesale, trade negotiations, …).
  4. COORDINATE KEY EVENTS FOR THE DEPARTMENT
    She/he coordinates the annual World Meeting, the Tax-free, the fragrance meeting, the Touch & try, and other key events for the department with the support of the selected team members (Business analyst, product managers, etc.). In this role, she/he defines retro planning, objectives, contents, and key messages, coordinates product selection, and ensures product flows are secured & content production.
  5. MANAGEMENT of two interns (one business analyst and one on transversal projects) on top of transversal management on each project.

PROFILE

  • You have a business or engineering academic background and 6-8 years of professional experience in a fast-paced, analytical environment.
  • You bring advanced knowledge and insights into the Fragrance luxury industry and of business strategy.
  • You demonstrate operational excellence: autonomy, proactivity, rigor, agility, and strategic thinking.
  • You are recognized for your analytical skills and promote new ways of working and initiative.
  • You are recognized for your ability to influence, your leadership, and your interpersonal skills.
  • You show excellent communication and demonstrate adaptation to different interlocutors.
  • You have a perfect mastery of the Office pack is required.
  • You speak English fluently.
