About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join the team in January 2024. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children succeed and is particularly suited to those with experience or interest in delivering focused interventions and boosters. As a Key Stage 2 TA, you will be pivotal in supporting children’s learning and development, ensuring that every child gets the chance to thrive in a supportive environment.

In this part-time role, you’ll work closely with class teachers, providing tailored support to small groups and individual students who need a boost in their academic progress, especially in English and Maths. You’ll play a key role in helping children with diverse learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), catch up with the curriculum and develop a strong foundation for their future studies. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s educational journey while working within a passionate, friendly, and professional team.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly in Key Stage 2.
• Previous experience in a TA or support role is desirable.
• Knowledge of interventions and boosters (especially in core subjects) is advantageous.
• A positive, nurturing approach to supporting children’s academic and emotional needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions in core subjects, particularly English and Maths.
• Support the classroom teacher with daily activities and curriculum implementation.
• Assist students with SEN and provide individualized support as needed.
• Track student progress and communicate observations to teachers and the SENCo.
• Help foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.

Perks and Benefits:

Joining this Enfield school means you’ll be part of a warm and supportive team where professional growth and personal development are encouraged. You’ll have access to continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities to enhance your teaching skills, and you’ll gain experience working with seasoned educators who value collaboration and innovation. The school offers a vibrant community where no two days are the same, and each day brings a new opportunity to make a difference.
