An established and growing company in the lift industry is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to join their team based in Manchester. This full-time role offers a salary of £45,000–£55,000 per year and benefits aimed at supporting both your professional and personal growth.
The ideal candidate will have relevant industry experience, preferably within the lift industry and a strong background in quality, environmental, health, and safety standards. A proven track record in audits and compliance will be essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities of the SHEQ Manager:
Develop and implement the organisations SHEQ strategy to achieve safety goals, environmental targets, and injury reduction objectives.
Provide technical expertise and advice on SHEQ management to employees and managers, ensuring alignment with health and safety standards.
Conduct, design, and plan audit processes while training key team members and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Work with customers and external stakeholders to ensure the company meets its safety and community responsibilities.
Enhance and maintain an innovative SHEQ management system, including the development of robust policies and procedures.
Coordinate business inspection audits and report on key metrics, including accident trends, audits, and progress toward SHEQ goals.
Experience and Qualifications:
NEBOSH required
Knowledge of environmental standards (e.g., IEMA Certificate or equivalent).
Auditor-level experience with ISO 9001:2015 (required), 14001:2015, and 45001:2018 (desirable).
up to date EHSQ practices and legislations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and strong communication skills.
