We're committed to using high-quality ingredients to create exceptional baked goods. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and experienced individual to lead our bakery team.
Job Summary:
As a Head Baker, you will play a pivotal role in our bakery's success. You will support the Head Of Bakery Operations with the daily baking operations, ensuring the production of consistently high-quality products, and mentoring the wider team. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented professional with a deep knowledge of baking techniques and a passion for creating exceptional baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the bakery team, providing training, guidance, and support.
- Oversee the production of cookies, donuts, breads, and other baked goods, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Experienced in large scale production and operational due diligence.
- Develop new recipes and improve existing ones, staying up-to-date with baking trends.
- Ensure all baked goods meet health and safety standards, including proper food handling and storage.
- Monitor inventory levels, order ingredients, and manage supplier relationships.
- Schedule shifts and manage the day-to-day workflow of the bakery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with the management team to meet production goals and drive business growth.
- Manage costs and minimise waste while maintaining the highest product standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Creative and innovative approach to baking.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
