LOGISTICS OPERATIVE


Location: Canary Wharf, London (E14 4PU)

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent


The Logistics Operative plays an integral role and supports the Logistics Supervisor/Team Leader to ensure smooth coordination of services, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality and efficient service at all times.


Job Description

In this role, you will maintain effective communication with both internal ISS teams and external organisations, ensuring strong collaboration across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with all major stakeholders (colleagues, visitors, tenants & GPA Staff) in line with best practice to ensure satisfaction with our service & to demonstrate commitment to our long-term presence
  • Ensure confidentiality, privacy and dignity is always maintained in accordance with the Data Protection Act and in line with Company where appropriate
  • Be able to work alone or closely with colleagues in the logistics team to ensure efficient daily operations
  • Manage Loading Bay – recording of incoming and outgoing entries; safe use of x-ray machine
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Support with office moves and meeting room set ups.
  • Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of goods, materials, and equipment to floors
  • Safely handle goods using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipment (e.g. pallet truck, trolleys, skates etc.)


About You

  • Happy to work in a physical role (on your feet for most of the day) and used to manual handling. But full training will be provided if not
  • Experience of client liaison and ensuring good customer service
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems in an effective manner
  • Able to multitask


Please Note: Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible to achieve SC Clearance. So, to apply - you must either be a UK national or have been a resident in the UK for a minimum of five years
