Finance Director - Liverpool

Permanent – £80,000pa - £90,000pa

We are partnering with a fantastic client in the fast-paced world of eCommerce looking for an experienced Finance Director to join their dynamic finance team. This role is permanent and full time and predominantly based on site.

Salary is dependent on experience but ranging from £80,000pa - £90,000pa (dependent on experience).

As a successful candidate you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards and provide strategic financial insights to drive growth and profitability.

Responsibilities as a Financial Controller/Director:

• Prepare and present accurate management accounts and financial statements and reports.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to create realistic budgets. Provide ongoing forecasts and variance analysis to compare budgeted vs actual performance. Recommend corrective actions based on financial trends and business developments.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations across multiple territories, maintaining adherence to eCommerce-specific regulations and tax requirements.
• Identify and implement best practices for financial processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and scalability in the fast-evolving eCommerce landscape.
• Identify financial risks associated with international operations and develop policies to mitigate these risks, particularly related to currency fluctuations and compliance.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant.
• Retail or E-Commerce background.
• Solid communicator and able to present information.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• M&A experience desirable
• Experience of working in a fast-paced SME environment.
