Full TimeAcademics are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team on a supply basis. This exciting opportunity involves supporting students across the primary school where needed, fostering a nurturing environment that enables all pupils to thrive.
About the Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs, adapting to their individual requirements.
Work flexibly across different year groups, building positive relationships with staff and students.
Assist in developing pupils' social, emotional, and academic progress.
Promote a calm and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Collaborate closely with teachers, SENDCo, and parents to ensure cohesive support.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
Have prior experience working with children with SEMH needs, preferably within a school setting.
Be proactive, patient, and resilient, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Hold a relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
Demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding procedures and best practices in supporting SEMH students.
Be adaptable and reliable, able to respond to the varying needs of the school.
Be available for full time work
