Hours:Full Time 37.5hrs

Contract Type:Fixed Term March 2025

The Role

DHI are recruiting for a Drug and Alcohol Assessment Worker within the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Team, working to support clients within Bristol who are experiencing problematic use of drugs and alcohol. We are looking for people who can bring creativity and enthusiasm to supporting clients to make positive changes in their lives.

The Drug and Alcohol Assessment Worker is our first point of contact for all services for people referred or self-referring for drug and alcohol services. We are looking for people who can provide a warm welcoming and motivating initial contact point for all service users and carers, especially those who are new to the service.

You will be responsible for processing referrals and undertaking holistic triage assessments over the phone providing urgent advice and signposting to address any urgent needs, experience in working with people with substance use &/or mental health is desirable, you should be computer literate, efficient & methodical while being kind and calm to complete our comprehensive risk assessments over the telephone & invite clients to our hubs to complete their support plans.

You are task orientated and enjoy getting a job done well!

You will be responding to enquiries from professionals, partner agencies, families, carers and service users. The post requires inputting accurate core data to DHIs client record data system.

A Driving Licence with access to vehicle and willingness to use it for work travel is desirable.
