New opportunity - Finance Manager - P/T 3 days a week (1-2 days remote working)

Role: Finance Manager

Location: Derbyshire

Hours: Part time - 3 days a week

Remote working: 1-2 days a week

Salary: Up to £50k pro rata

I have partnered with a really exciting eccomerce client who are urgently looking for a part time Finance Manager. These guys are an SME looking for someone to work directly with the MD to offer guidance and support with things such as month-end etc.

They currently have a finance team of 3 who would be reporting into you, so management experience is required. They have a fast-paced, collaborative culture, so this role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate financial records and maintain effective internal controls.
• Develop financial strategies and provide recommendations for cost reduction and revenue optimization.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and financial plans.
• Monitor financial performance and suggest corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial laws and regulations.

What are they looking for?

• Proven experience (5+ years) in finance management, accounting, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience in the ecommerce industry is ideal
