Position Description Summary:
Our Fly Away Valet & Parking (FAV) Operations is seeking an experienced General Manager who can manage various valet/parking operations around the country and coordinate to create budgets and develop business and operations plans for each location. FAV is a business unit of the firm's Operational Services (OS) practice area. The General Manager will also be responsible for helping to update, develop, implement, and enforce operational policies & procedures. The ideal candidate for this position possesses proven leadership skills, as well as a strong ability to problem solve and make sound decisions that encourage corporate growth. Experience and knowledge of working in a union environment is highly desired.
The primary areas the General Manager will oversee include, but not limited to:

Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
• Improve the business processes for each field operations through analysis and collaboration.
• Collaborate with JD management to develop financial plans and projections.
• Collaborate with support functions such as human resources, payroll, accounting and make recommendations for improvement.
• Work with JD Management to develop budgets for each operation.
• Act as responsible individual for the approval of significant operational expenses.
• On-going, day-to-day support of field management.
• Management and oversight of all FAV recruiting efforts.
• Development and on-going maintenance of all SOPs.
• Elevate critical issues and concerns to the Vice President of Operational Services.
• Oversight and management for all new operational start-ups - may require being on-site for weeks at a time to stand-up a new operation.
• Back-fill for field Management for temporary or emergency situations.
• Conduct policy & procedure audits - review all policy & procedures, identify holes in our game, work with HR to implement recommendations.
• Perform operational audits - identify deficiencies, develop solutions, implement new policies & procedures (plan on at least two site visits per year at each location).
• Lead training for all FAV operations - coordinate with Corp. HR to develop and conduct on-going employee training - minimum of two on-site (or webinar) training sessions per location per year.
• Research, recommend and oversee the implementation of new systems, technologies, and alternative methods of efficiency.
• Coordinate with the Chief Business Development, Marketing & Communications Officer on all FAV pipeline initiatives, proposals, and interviews.
• Lead contract negotiations with clients.
Management/Administration:
1. Direct and train/oversee staff in the performance of duties.
2. Interact with JD leadership to determine priorities and develop strategies for operational excellence.
3. Define and meet productivity targets and direct staff to do the same.
4. Communicate with staff regarding FAV and corporate priorities and strategies.
5. Assist field Management with job administrative functions including, but not limited to:
• Field management and employee staffing plans,
• Employee point system tracking,
• Manage all damage claims for valet operations,
• Vendor relationships and placement of orders,
• Control and reconciliation of the FAV credit card,
• Field compliance with OSHA, spill prevention & containment, fire suppression, evacuation and emergency response plans, and
• Support Labor relations agreements and negotiations.
Leadership:
1. Seek and review solicitations for new operations.
2. Oversee the hiring of FAV field Management and Staff.
3. Participate in the strategic and business planning process for the OS Practice Area.
4. Engage in and embrace the corporate culture and company values (Growth, Authenticity, Customer Focus, and Teamwork).
Desired Qualifications:
Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management or related field and 5+ years of progressively increasing responsibility. Management experience with union labor is highly desired. An understanding of parking, and facility management is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication abilities, effective decision-making skills and experience with developing budgets and writing business plans and proposals.
Working Conditions:
Primarily in an office environment, travel up to 30% of the time is required, depending on needs of the client or field operations. Periodic weekend and evening work is anticipated.
