0 Supply Chain Support Specialist Job Description The Supply Chain Support Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and logistics functions. Reporting to the Customer Service & Logistics Manager, this position will be responsible for generating and analyzing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, performing statement reviews, and assisting with quality-related requests concerning oleochemicals that we purchase and trade. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally within the organization. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education, Credentials, Licenses: A Technical or Business-related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education. B.A. or B.S degree a plus. Experience and Desired Attributes: Demonstrated experience in a high transactional volume customer focused role with an emphasis on customer satisfaction Excellent organizational skills and able to handle multiple priorities Effective written and verbal communication skills Flexible and able to change direction as needed or requested High attention to detail Highly effective time management Competency with Microsoft Office products Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities Experience working in a chemical, food, pharma or cosmetic industry is a plus Familiar with customer and regulatory audits PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS Samples Will assist with the shipping of customer requested samples Will work with the lab to request any needed samples Will coordinate with 3rd party site to obtain tracking information and communicate to customers. KPI Reporting: Create, maintain, and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports related to supply chain performance, logistics, and customer service. Track and analyze key metrics such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and order accuracy to ensure targets are being met. Present data insights to the Customer Service & Logistics Manager and relevant teams to improve efficiency and performance. Quality Requests: Manage and respond to quality-related inquiries regarding oleochemicals purchased or traded by the company. Coordinate with suppliers and internal quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with product specifications and standards. Handle documentation and requests for product certifications, safety data sheets (SDS), and other quality-related materials. Process Improvement: Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to optimize supply chain operations. Support the implementation of new tools and technologies that enhance reporting and operational performance. Collaboration: Work closely with customer service, logistics, procurement, and quality teams to ensure a seamless supply chain experience. Act as a liaison between internal departments and external partners to resolve supply chain issues and facilitate communication.
