Learning Support Assistant - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to work in an excellent primary school in Blackburn. You will be supporting both KS1 and KS2 pupils with challenging behaviour on a 1-1 basis and managing this in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.

As a learning support assistant, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with staff to implement strategies and learning activities.

Contract Details:

• Location: Blackburn
• Position: Learning Support Assistant
• Hours: 8am-4pm
• Type of work: Temporary
• Full time/part time: Full time only
• Start date: Nov 2024
• End date: Ongoing
• Minimum rate of pay: £90 per day

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

• Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
• Previous experience working in a support role is essential
• Previous experience managing behaviour effectively
• Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references
