We are currently looking for a passionate and committed Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team and contribute to the spiritual, academic, and personal development of our students.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Religious Education Teacher to teach across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 (KS5) if the candidate is suitably qualified. The successful candidate will be expected to actively support and promote the ethos of the school and provide high-quality, engaging teaching in Religious Education.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.
Potential to teach KS5 (A-Level) Religious Studies if suitably qualified.
Support the spiritual and moral development of students, aligning lessons with the school’s faith and values.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
Participate in the wider school community, contributing to liturgies, assemblies, and other faith-based activities.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Engage in professional development to continue to grow as an educator and contribute to the continuous improvement of the RE department.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related subject.
A relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
Experience teaching Religious Education at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is desirable).
A strong understanding of the Catholic faith and an ability to integrate this into teaching.
A commitment to supporting the faith ethos of the school and the spiritual development of students.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
A passion for Religious Education and a dedication to fostering a positive learning environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
