Job Title: Teaching Assistant (1-1 and General Classroom Support)
Location: Various Primary Schools in Maidstone
Contract Type: Permanent and Temporary Positions Available
Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience
Role Overview:
We have multiple opportunities available for Teaching Assistants to support both 1-1 student needs and general classroom activities within Key Stage 1 (KS1). Whether you’re interested in a temporary assignment or a more permanent role, we have flexible options to suit your career goals. As a Teaching Assistant through Teaching Personnel , you’ll play a vital role in supporting young learners to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1-1 support to students with additional needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Assist class teachers in preparing resources, setting up lessons, and organizing activities to enhance student engagement.
Support small groups of students with differentiated tasks, helping them reach their learning objectives.
Encourage positive behavior and supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and non-classroom activities.
Observe and track student progress, sharing insights and feedback with teaching staff and SEN teams as required.
Promote an inclusive atmosphere, ensuring all students feel valued and supported.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
A passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their educational journey.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A positive, adaptable, and proactive attitude with a willingness to take on varied responsibilities.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certification) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
