Quantity Surveyor (Retail/Commercial Experience)
£60K + Car Allowance – Dartford

About the Role: We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team based in Dartford. This exciting role offers a competitive salary of £55K, plus a car allowance, and the opportunity to work on high-profile retail and commercial projects. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring budgets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee cost management throughout the lifecycle of retail and commercial projects.
Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
Negotiate contracts and manage subcontractor relationships.
Ensure that projects are completed within financial targets and to the highest standards.
Prepare tender documentation and valuations.
Provide accurate cost reports to senior management.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on retail or commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field (preferred).
RICS qualification (preferred but not essential).
