Job Description
Maylim Landscapes is an award winning landscaping company based in Central London with high-profile architect design led sites within the UK and Ireland - we are currently looking for passionate and motivated Maintenance Gardeners with professional experience and a dedicated approach to horticulture and garden care to join us as we expand and grow.
Our projects are high-end corporate landscaping design led schemes within London. We operate across public realm gardens, roof terraces, public parks, residential buildings, commercial, private and government spaces.
We are currently growing our soft landscaping maintenance division and look to internally nurture, develop and promote our best people into supervisory and management roles to strengthen our brand and the sense of value we have for our people and corporate culture.
Key Accountabilities
* Punctuality, reliability, respect.
* Implement landscape maintenance plans to deliver the highest standards of service and care upheld by the company.
* Proactive and competent to follow and carry out specifc instructions individually and as part of a team.
* Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks including weeding, pruning, mowing, feeding and pest control.
* Plant, transplant, and care for trees, shrubs and plants according to seasonal requirements and best practice guidelines.
* Care and basic maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
* Willing to learn, share knowledge and work collaboratively for the benefit of the team and company.
* Demonstrate good communication and customer facing skills.
Required Qualifications
A recognized horticultural qualifications preferred.
Knowledge / Technical:
* Previous experience and knowledge of maintenaning soft landscaping
* NVQ Level or demonstrate suitable experience.
* CSCS card preferred
* Ability to work full-time and travel across London
* Driving License preferred
Behavioural Skills:
* Working as ‘one team’ across multiple different project sites each week to deliver exceptional service and results.
* Competent communicator who can effectively take on board instructions and action the necessary tasks.
* A self-starter who is organized and proactive without the need to be managed closely. Confidence to raise any issues with the team for the daily reporting.
* Time management skills, arrive for work on time and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Enthusiasm and drive to develop a career in this expanding area of the horticultural industry.
Previous Experience:
* 2 years+ maintenance experience incl. the following: pruning, pest and disease control, planting, irrigation, turf care, use of horticultural machinery.
* Knowledge of safety, quality and environmental issues relevant to the project environment.
* Experience of working within landscaping costruction sites preferred.
