Senior Resourcing Business Partner – Engineering and Operations

We’re looking for someone who can bring their knowledge and experience to an already established team, delivering strategic recruitment within the Engineering or Operations space. You’ll be embedded into the company’s purpose and culture and build relationships across the organisation, delivering exceptional client service.
Here are the key responsibilities:
* Day to day management of circa 2 direct reports, ensuring completion of PDR and PDPs quarterly and half yearly and deputising for your manager when required
* Build key stakeholder relationships with Resourcing Director, HR Director, Head of HR and HR Consultants, participating in regular meetings to gain insight into demand forecasting
* Support line manager with strategic ownership of project plans and project life cycles for key recruitment projects and strategies for example:
* Resourcing & workforce planning within your key business areas
* Training for Hiring Managers on end-to-end recruitment processes – lunch and learns, “Recruiting Successful People” workshops
* Champion a strategy such as ED&I, Military, untapped talent partnerships for underrepresented groups
* Strategic Talent Attraction including ownership of actions for talent events, project plans and talent pools/pipeline
* Create and present data, insight and update packs for people meetings with key stakeholders within your area. Attend weekly/monthly meetings to ensure you are kept informed of the recruitment requirements
* Support the team in the content creation for assessment centres, talent events and diverse and inclusive talent attraction campaigns including running project plans within your business areas. Also provide return on investment data when additional attraction methods are used
* Ability to manage end to end recruitment lifecycle with continual review of the recruitment funnel with your team, flagging pipeline and forecasting concerns where needed to senior stakeholders and your line manager
* Carry out recruitment for permanent, temporary or contractor high profile / business critical roles within your business area including benchmarking, market research, direct sourcing, in-depth screening and working with Hiring Managers to suggest best assessment process is undertaken
What we’re looking for
We have an opportunity in our Engineering or Operations team and are looking for someone with a solid background in hiring for all levels and skill sets of Engineers from entry level to senior roles, for Operations, you will be working on roles across water and waste treatment sites. You will be supporting the team to implement new, strategic attraction plans across the business area. To be successful, you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in recruitment and ideally some experience of helping manage a large team although this is not essential.
We work in a fast-paced environment and no two days are the same, therefore you’ll need to be able to prioritise your workload, work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines. Recruitment experience, whether this is from a recruitment agency or preferably in-house / RPO with experience of direct sourcing at different levels and securing placements in short time scales is essential, as well as experience of liaising with external agencies and off-site partners.
You’ll need to be fully PC literate on Microsoft Office and able to pick up new systems with ease to use our application tracking system (ATS). We also work in a structured, process driven environment, so you must enjoy working to a process, ensuring you are following the correct recruitment methodology and frameworks at all times.
