Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and oversee the £7.5 million renovation and new-build project at the Waterside Theatre. This prestigious project includes renovation works and the construction of a steel frame section. As the Number 1 on site, you will take full responsibility for ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This is a an opportunity for a driven and capable individual with the right qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Take charge as the primary site lead, ensuring the project runs smoothly and is delivered on schedule and within budget.
Temporary Works Management: Supervise and coordinate all temporary works, ensuring compliance with engineering and safety standards.
Steel Frame Construction: Manage and oversee the steel frame new-build section, guaranteeing high-quality delivery aligned with design specifications.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all on-site activities adhere to health and safety regulations, fostering a safe and compliant work environment.
Team Management: Lead and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
Resource Management: Optimize use of labor, equipment, and materials to ensure productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Progress Reporting: Prepare regular project updates, addressing risks and implementing solutions to maintain momentum.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key point of contact for the client, project team, and external stakeholders. Qualifications and Skills:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
First Aid at Work qualification.
Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
Temporary Works Supervision or Coordination.
Proven experience managing large-scale (£5m+) construction projects, with a focus on renovation and steel frame builds.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
