About Us:
The Extraordinary Story of Serena’s Vision
Regeneration, Planning & Economy in Westminster City Council is a world of extraordinary stories. Where innovative and open-minded people bring everything to the cause. Even expertise from surprising places.
Take Serena. She is an absolute force of nature at the heart of our Church Street regeneration. And she puts the residents first in everything. Serena’s vision is clear. Regeneration isn’t just about bricks and concrete. It’s about communities. It’s about the environment. It’s about the lives of people and how they feel about where they call home. Serena is their advocate, making sure residents’ voices aren’t just heard, but drive the changes we’re making. The future is safe in her hands.
The Role:
As a Leasehold Advisor, you can make your own powerful contribution to helping our residents feel at home in Westminster. As more tenants purchase their properties under Right to Buy, we are continually looking at ways to enhance and improve the service we offer them. Accuracy, transparency and value for money are all critical.
You’ll work across a wide range of activities including billing, income recovery and customer contact to deliver high-quality all-round support to our leaseholders. From calculating charges to producing statutory notices and key documentation, collecting charges to dealing with complex enquiries and complaints, no two days are the same. You’ll also be in regular communication with a wide range of people, including council staff in other teams, solicitors and other external agents.
Please refer to the Job Description for more information.
About You:
Ideally you’ll have solid experience of working in an accounting and service-based environment. While knowledge of areas such leaseholder legislation, consultation, management and billing is helpful, it is not essential, providing you are quick to learn. We do, however, look for well-developed skills in Excel, Word and Office 365. Numerate and accurate, you are able to work at pace and have good communication and customer service skills.
What We Offer:
Westminster is an amazing place. We are home to more than 200,000 residents from all backgrounds, over 50,000 vibrant and vital businesses and three-quarters-of-a-million people work in Westminster.
