Job Title: Building Maintenance Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary : £30,000 only 37.5hrs per week
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and multi-skilled Building Maintenance Engineer to deliver a high-quality, efficient maintenance service within a corporate setting. This dynamic role involves a blend of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, alongside project-based work, ideally suited for a proactive engineer with strong plumbing expertise. Working closely with the Property Management team and other departments, the successful candidate will contribute to enhancing the workspace in a cost-effective and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
General Building Maintenance:
Perform routine and reactive maintenance tasks across all buildings within the Paragon portfolio, ensuring a high standard of work and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Conduct general electrical fault-finding and repairs, plumbing repairs, and follow up on actions from Legionella risk assessments.
Repairs and Minor Works:
Paint and decorate office spaces, including surface preparation and finishing.
Perform basic carpentry tasks, lock changes, and small equipment repairs.
Carry out internal and external building repairs as needed.
Electrical Testing and Compliance:
Conduct PAT testing on electrical appliances, maintaining accurate records of all testing completed.
Scheduled and Ad-Hoc Maintenance:
Complete in-house planned maintenance activities as per the schedule and maintain accurate documentation.
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests from the Service Desk, ensuring that tickets are updated and completed within service level agreements.
Support for Office Moves and Deliveries:
Assist with minor office moves in coordination with the Office Move Coordinator.
Manage light porterage tasks and assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
Additional Duties:
Perform any other reasonable maintenance-related tasks to support business operations.Required Skills and Competencies:

Teamwork: Collaborative, reliable, and supportive team player.
Self-Motivation: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks within tight deadlines.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in general building maintenance, particularly plumbing.
Health & Safety Compliance: Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and commitment to maintaining safe working conditions.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.Qualifications and Experience:
Certifications:
NVQ/City and Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation (2330) or
NVQ/City and Guilds Level 3 in Plumbing and Water Systems, including L8 compliance.
Experience:
