Job Description
Design Technology Secondary Teacher
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in North Leeds on a 0.8 FTE (there is the option for FT if this is preferred); This would be to start in January for two terms intially. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across KS3 / KS4 and help them develop practical skills and critical thinking.
You must have a clear understanding and be able to teach Product Design, Resistant Materials and/or Construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and hands-on Design & Technology lessons aligned with the curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and experimentation.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Design & Technology curriculum and share best practices.
Foster an appreciation for design principles, engineering, and technology among students.
Qualifications:
Relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for design and technology and the ability to inspire students.

The pay rate is between £150 and £220 per day. Pay rate is dependent on experience & qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
