Lead Solar Installer

Job Description
As a lead installer, you will be responsible for leading the installation team. Once instructions are provided by the project management team, you will guide your team members and ensure the installation is executed professionally. You will work hands-on with the crew to install a variety of Solar PV panels, ensuring that all work is completed safely, properly, and to high standards, while also delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead PV installers typically carry out the following duties:
* Plan PV system configurations according to customer requirements and site conditions.
* Measure, cut, and assemble the support structures for solar PV panels.
* Install solar modules, panels, and support structures in line with building codes and standards.
* Connect PV panels to the electrical system.
* Work independently with minimal supervision to install PV systems and other equipment.
* Complete all paperwork accurately, neatly, and in a timely manner.
* Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Follow standard procedures and processes to ensure the project progresses on schedule, and provide guidance to laborers.
* Activate and test PV systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
* Perform routine maintenance on PV systems.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:
* Proven experience in managing teams.
* Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (preferred but not essential).
* 18th Edition qualification (essential).
* ECS Card (essential).
* Training in PV system installation.
* NICEIC Accreditation (preferred but not essential).
* A valid driver’s license (essential).
