Job Description
Henry Martin is looking for an ambitious and knowledgeable Assistant Site/Construction Manager to join a significant new build commercial office development valued at over £100 million. This project aims to rejuvenate the area by providing luxury office and retail spaces. Our client is a Tier 1 main contractor with a strong track record in managing major projects across London.
In this role, you will initially focus on overseeing the internal fit-out of the washrooms and other communal areas. We require candidates with experience working on internal packages in commercial developments. Both new build and refurbishment experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Site Manager in the daily management of the site activities and operations.
* Oversee the internal fit-out works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors and onsite teams, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Site Manager.
* Maintain effective communication with the client and stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.
* Conduct regular inspections of washroom installations to ensure quality and functionality.
* Assist in the preparation and implementation of project schedules and plans.
* Healthy and Safety monitoring
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager or in a similar role, ideally within cut and carve projects.
* Strong internal fit-out experience, particularly in washroom environments.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid) are desirable.
* High energy and ambitious attitude
