Director of Clinical Services

Based in Scotland

Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £68,000 plus benefits

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

* Registered healthcare professional (NMC, HCPC, or equivalent recognised body)

Experience:

* Proven leadership experience in clinical settings, with a strong track record in managing complex healthcare services, preferably within the independent sector

* Deep understanding of service redesign, clinical pathways, and system reform

Regulatory Knowledge:

* In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, industry standards, and NHS contract requirements

* Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality assurance, and compliance with relevant policies

Key Skills:

* Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

* Problem-Solving: Strategic thinker with a focus on managing risk, leading quality improvements, and making data-driven decisions

* Commitment to Excellence: A passion for clinical excellence, patient safety, and fostering a culture of compassionate care

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the clinical services team to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care across the hospital

* Oversee clinical operations, including staffing, training, and professional development of the clinical team

* Drive clinical governance, including incident management, audits, and compliance with policies and regulations

* Collaborate with senior leadership to set and align strategic goals with organisational priorities

* Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor clinical outcomes, and implement solutions to enhance patient care

* Engage with patients, families, and other stakeholders to gather feedback and drive improvements in service delivery

* Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards while maintaining a consistently high standard of care
