Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious and well-established manufacturer of Health & Beauty Products. Due to their continued growth, development and demand they are seeking to employ an Account Manager for their Thetford site.
They work with some of the world’s biggest brand owners, contract manufacturing household brands, and we also manufacture own label product for some of the UK’s biggest retailers.
Competitive salary offered depending on expertise and experience.
Full time role with the flexibility for the right candidate.
37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 5pm. Monday to Friday
Reporting directly to the Senior Account Manager
Purpose of the role:
To be the central point of contact for all things associated with relevant customer accounts; managing customer relationships, costing products and forecasting account performance, project managing new product development, liaising internally to ensure that we deliver for the customer and developing/activating plans to grow each account.
Duties:
Manage a number of allocated customer accounts, ensuring a positive, effective, and productive working relationship with each to encourage growth and profitability.
Generate accurate product costings and quotes, tailoring them meticulously to ensure they meet the needs of both the business and the customer.
Work closely with the NPD team, Packaging Technologist, Purchasing and the Operational teams on both new projects and existing lines, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
Setting up products, sales orders, and bills of materials on system.
Identifying and rectifying any problems related to existing or potential orders and/or customers.
Working with customers to agree annual forecasts and create a joint business plan to ensure that these are met.
Deliver overall sales and margin targets, and other associated KPIs, accurately to forecast.
Negotiate manufacturing contracts, underwrite agreements, stock sweeps and customer concessions, ensure signed documents are retained centrally.
Monitor and review finished goods and component stocks by account and manage the lifecycle.
Meet with customers as and when necessary to discuss current and prospective business or new product opportunities.
Be the voice of the customer internally, working closely with all functions to ensure delivery to customer requests are met.
Monitor and review own performance and report updates to manager periodically.
Deputise for other Account Managers as necessary to ensure business continuity.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience of B2B customer sales and working in the health & beauty industry, or similar.
Proven experience of confidently creating, developing, and managing relationships with key customer accounts and with internal departments and stakeholders.
Competent or, ideally proficient, Excel skills, with a keen eye for data accuracy.
Great communication skills, (both written and verbal), conveying views and ideas logically internally and/or externally.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task.
Good foundational negotiation skills.
Commercially savvy, with a clear understanding of win/win strategy.
Obsessive attention to detail with dynamic problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative to drive personal development, with a passion for the cosmetics and Health & Beauty Industry
