Are you passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs? Do you have experience or a desire to help children thrive in an inclusive educational environment? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with a fantastic school in Pembroke.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant through Teaching Personnel, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them access the curriculum effectively. Working closely with the class teacher, you will provide both in-class and one-to-one support, ensuring that all students can reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist students with a range of learning needs, including those with SEN and additional support requirements.
Provide individual or small group support both inside and outside the classroom.
Help students with tasks, organization, and emotional or behavioural support.
Collaborate with teachers to implement tailored learning plans for students.
Support students in developing key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction.
Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with children, particularly in educational settings, is highly desirable but not essential.
A positive, patient, and proactive attitude towards working with students with a variety of learning needs.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, staff, and parents.
A willingness to learn and adapt to the individual needs of each student.
A current DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
Previous experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, or other SEN is a plus.
