Position Summary

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for SAP Software development using the latest S4 HANA, BTP and cloud related tools/technology, and provide SAP technical architecture across the organization, championing innovation, continuous improvement and automation. This role will be focusing on leading application development, modernization, and ensuring customized solutions are resilient and follow MPC standards and best practices. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in application security best practices. Additionally excellent leadership and strong communication skills are essential.

This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Leads efforts from end-to-end through delegation, review, and driving results holistically; leads medium complexity features from technical design through completion.

Executes a defined software engineering roadmap, contributing to the organization's engineering and technology strategy.

Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development process in projects with moderate to high complexity under limited or no supervision.

Identifies and recommends improvements to the software development lifecycle and best practices in SAFe agile engineering/framework. Conducts demos of application features and designs features to support automated testability. Conducts research, design and prototyping and experience on a cross-functional team.

Works with users to translate designs and solution architecture into design specifications.

Organizes the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions or deliverables, setting effort estimates and continuously collaborating and updating the specifications, in line with user requirements.

Coordinates and implements new architectures, standards, methods, and logic for enterprise software in accordance with business strategies and specifications.

Ensures proper documentation of software design and works with business partners to design and implement solution to meet architecture standards.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, related field required.

5+ years of relevant experience required

Experience with solution design, enterprise architecture, and SAP S/4 HANA implementation that includes CDS, OData, Adobe forms, BRF+, Workflow, BADI's and user exits required.

Experience with SAP BTP Services is preferred.

Experience with API or DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline integration is preferred.

Experience migrating On-Prem SAP 2022 S/4 HANA environment to SAP Rise is preferred.

Experience defining and executing an SAP Clean Core Strategy through BTP Services preferred.

Experience developing Fiori applications using SAPUI5 and Fiori Elements preferred.

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Management - A process used by the software industry to design, develop and test high quality software.

Software Testing - An investigation conducted to provide stakeholders with information about the quality of the software product or service under test.

Version Control Management - Tracks and manages changes to software code.
