Our Equine business unit is seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to work on a team of enthusiastic equestrians to continue to fuel brand equity and sales. This role works collaboratively with cross functional teams within the Business Unit as well as Corporate teams. This role is responsible for the Equine digital marketing efforts and activities, championing projects, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure execution. This position will report to the Marketing Director with dotted line into the Corporate VP of Digital Marketing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, execute, measure and optimize effective digital marketing and content strategies that deliver on the brand business objectives as well as specific campaigns across social media, SEO, Paid/SEM, brand website, email, etc., working in collaboration with brand team, customer marketing, eComm team, select agency partners and Corporate digital marketing team
  • Set up and own certain campaigns, and manage agencies for other campaigns
  • Campaigns will range from awareness creation to basket building to innovation launches
  • Act as strategic lead to ensure all assets are created with consistency across touchpoints, such as brand website, social, email, retailer websites, etc
  • Partner with Corporate Digital Marketing to set KPIs, measure and optimize paid campaigns
  • Manage timelines for all content creation, digital projects and keep brand teams up to date on progress and next steps
  • Manage agencies for Social, influencer content creation, long form content creation, partnerships and media
  • Lead eCommerce enhanced content creation with help of external agency for Amazon, Chewy and Walmart; partner with an internal creative resource for other retailers such as Tractor Supply
  • Own Google search and manage Google Analytics, both strategically and tactically to understand our online digital experience across the website and digital advertising channels, leveraging SEMRush and other tools
  • Manage website CMS activities including page creation and layout, PDPs, website maintenance, and user experience updates based on insights from consumer data and surveys with support of Corporate Digital Team
  • Leverage Hubspot data to segment audience for email newsletters and other marketing activities
  • Create any landing pages needed for QR code linking for promotional activities
  • Use data analytics to measure and report on all activities, optimizing spend and creative to maximize return
  • Bring thought leadership to identify areas for process improvement to make our digital processes as efficient and informed as possible
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4-5 years of digital marketing experience, media planning, and analytics
  • Knowledge of best practices and trends in SEM, SEO, email marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, website management and digital advertising principles
  • Understanding of Google products including GA4, Tag Manager, Search Console and Looker Studio (There are resources to do this, but need ability to interpret and action)
  • An ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of creative minds and business stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Proven track record of working well with complex cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional project management and people skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and focus on getting things done amid ambiguity
  • A deep understanding of marketing, media, and the digital advertising landscape
  • An ability to create/take marketing strategies and break them down to the tactical/task level
  • Understanding of conversion tracking for Google Ads and social platforms such as Facebook and Pinterest
  • Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush or Moz
  • Ability to conduct critical analysis and identify key insights
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for learning and growth
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and communicate project plans and deadline status
  • Equine background a plus
