Sodexo is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Registered Dietitian for Kalkaska Memorial Health Center located in Kalkaska, MI. Kalkaska Memorial is a community non-profit health center that serves the greater Kalkaska County region with a wide variety of care options not often found in a small community, they pride themselves on providing more than is expected.

The Dietitian at this location will work primarily with long term care residents, as well as some acute and sub-acute care patients. There are two other dietitians on site to collaborate with.

No weekends, no holidays, flexible schedule. 20 hours a week may be worked as two 10-hour shifts or spread across several days a week.

The successful candidate will:

  • provide nutritional care for acute care, long term care and short-term rehab patients and residents;
  • perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays; and
  • educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses.

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in MI;
  • previous long term care experience a plus;
  • strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player; and/or
  • the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Credentials Requirement:

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
  • Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
