Summary
The position of Sr Accountant will have primary responsibility around the accounting function specific to the regional operations division. This role will have core responsibility around supporting the controller with analysis, month end review, regular reconciliations, and ongoing operations reporting. As the Sr Accountant, you will work closely with the Controller, senior accounting leadership and multiple site operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Accounting functions for month-end, quarter-end, and annual activities including ledger entries and account reconciliations
Support the Controller in financial reporting to the business
Support internal and external financial and process audits including SOX controls
Research, analyze, reconcile, and validate a variety of data sets and information and report out findings and recommendations
Research and resolve financial and manufacturing variances
Research and assist in clearing AP and receiving variances
Monitor and report inventory transactions including supporting physical inventory
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in Finance or Accounting
Cost /Manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with Cycle Counts/Goods In Transits, WIP, Cost Rolls, and GRIR/GINR.
4-6 years of relevant work experience (accounting and analysis roles)
Advanced Excel Skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated success working both independently and in highly collaborative environments
Excellent presentation skills
Strong analytical, and critical thinking skills
Working Conditions
The work environment characteristics described here are those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Works in an office environment with occasional interaction with the manufacturing facility
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time including overnight stays.
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing, and walking
Attendance - The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary to meet business demands.
Occasional lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
