From 1976-2010, Phil ran the Minerva Dairy accomplishing growth and creation of niche recipes. The recipes Phil created for cheese are still used today by our niche customers. Placing Minerva Dairy as THE choice producer that delivers ingredient cheese performance.
5th Generation: Adam Mueller and Venae Watts
The current owners, Venae and Adam, grew up in the business, obsessing over butter and cheese, like the 4 generations before them. While they have put their own spin on things, the process of making butter and cheese hasn't changed. Likewise, they have set the business up for success by raising 12 members of the 6th generation.

Job Summary
The Cheese Technician is responsible for applying the structure of cheese department to recipes, GMP's, testing and quality of the cheese product. The position reports to and works closely with the Cheese Technologist. This position helps communicate the why of the cheese procedures to process techs to ensure the highest level of quality. It expected that the Cheese Technician will continuously give ongoing improvement directions to the Cheese Technologist to maintain and improve on the safety and quality of the cheese department. This position works closely with the Cheese Technologist and assists in training and supporting the cheesemaking staff. Excellent communication and active listening skills are needed to be able to give directions to team members.
Education and Experience
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a Lab environment
• Successful history of implenting and maintaing manufacturing processes.
• Certificaitons - HACCP
Knowledge
Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
