Job Description
A Design Engineer (Tooling) position has become available within a business that supplies safety-critical technologies to some of the most exciting organisations within the engineering space. Design Engineer duties include
Design and develop tooling and fixtures, ensuring DFM principles are incorporated.
Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings for prototypes and high-volume production.
Provide technical support for modifying existing tooling and fixtures
Manage the entire design process from concept to production, ensuring smooth project progression.
Collaborate with production engineering teams on APQP and IATF documentation, ensuring designs meet quality and manufacturability standards.
Develop prototypes using 3D printing technology to validate designs and test functionality.Design Engineer desirable skills and experience -
Experience in a similar position (assembly fixtures and tooling).
Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and pressure vessels would be an advantage.
Relevant engineering education and/or training.Design Enigneer benefits include -
