Gas Service/Installation Engineer
Location: Norfolk (25 mile radius)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + Company Vehicle
Full time/ Permanent
Our client, a well-established family-run business serving the Norfolk community for circa, is seeking a skilled Gas Service/Installation Engineer to join their friendly and dedicated team of six engineers, covering approximately a 30-mile radius within Norfolk. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am-4 pm, with some flexibility. There is also an opportunity, though not an obligation, to undertake overtime during weekends and evenings.
They pride themselves on excellent customer service and have a sociable, friendly company culture, often enjoying team events. Most of their work is domestic, requiring the successful Gas Service/Installation Engineer to hold Domestic Gas Certification. While they cover LPG and oil systems, prior experience in these areas is not essential.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Gas Service/Installation Engineer, you will:
Perform service, maintenance, and installation of gas heating and plumbing systems for a wide range of customers.
Diagnose and repair faults, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly and offering cost-effective solutions tailored to customer needs.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and relevant regulations.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal Gas Service/Installation Engineer will be:
Fully qualified in Gas Safe Certification (domestic).
Proven experience in service, maintenance, and installation of gas and heating systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Highly skilled, polite, friendly, and committed to maintaining high standards of work.
Exposure to LPG and Oil is advantageous, but not essential
