JOB TITLE: Environmental Health Officer
LOCATION: Exeter
SALARY: £19.35/Hr

The Role:
To assist the Environmental Health Manager in providing a regulatory service and carrying out the clients’ statutory duties
The investigation of complaints relating to commercial premises
The collection of evidence associated with contraventions for use in court proceedings
The overseeing of works being conducted as a result of legal action
The administration of various schemes within commercial premises
To undertake any duties that may be assigned by the Principal Environmental Health Officer / Environmental Health and Licensing Manager
To carry out research, monitoring and provision of information and statistics as required
The Candidate will need:
To hold a BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health and EHRB Certificate of Registration
To have a solid experience of producing clear and accurate reports - including problem solving solutions
Good level of experience of dealing with complaints/enquiries from members of the public
To hold a full driving licence
To be able to work independently or as part of a team
To have experience or working within Environmental Health Services or the work covered by the post e.g. noise/pollution/contaminated land
To have a good understanding of PACE, CPIA, RIPA and other Acts association with investigations
To be prepared to work out of hours on a monthly basis
SUMMARY:
This role is being offered on a temporary basis
Working hours to fill M-F, between 9am-5pm.
