They are now looking for an Income Officer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As an Income Officer, you’ll ensure the effective collection of rent and service charges from tenants.

Working with the Supported Services Team, you will help tenants sustain their tenancies through a supportive and proactive approach and ensure processes are in place to support tenants in meeting their financial needs.

You will focus on two key areas, Income Recovery, where you will collect amounts owed and identify potential losses of income, adopting an early intervention approach to prevent tenancy breakdown. You will also be involved in Arrears Prevention, providing support to tenants and ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities, as well as advising on actions they can take to avoid falling into arrears.

About You

To be considered as an Income Officer, you will need:

- Experience in the social housing sector

- Experience of working in a housing environment

- Experience of rent collection and arrears, void control, service charges and managing complaints

- Experience providing financial inclusion advice

- Experience providing support to tenants

- The ability to manage a caseload

- A commitment to customer care and equality and diversity principles
