Legal Counsel opportunity with a leading retailer in the Midlands

We are excited to be working with this leading retailer in their search for a Legal Counsel. This role is based in the office in the Midlands.

This role is available on a part-time or full-time basis with an expectation for frequent office attendance.

About the Role

• Seeking a solid Commercial Lawyer with strong experience negotiating, drafting and advising on a broad range of supplier and business partnership contracts for all areas of the Group’s businesses including: commercial, supply chain, events, marketing, ecommerce, franchising and licensing, IT & technology, outsourcing, and finance.
• Ability to provide advise on marketing and promotional activity including CAP code compliance for advertisements, promotions, competitions, and product packaging.
• Providing support on the legal aspects of digital marketing and website operations.
• Ability to give advise on general IP work.
• Advising and supporting as and when required on customer complaints and handling disputes and small claims.
• Supervising junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Qualified solicitor with UK experience.
• Strong experience working within Commercial contract negotiation.
• Experience working in the retail/fmcg sector advantageous
• Strong communicator.
• Commercially minded.
