Finance & Admin Manager
Are you an experienced Senior Accounts Manager with a sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to deadlines? Our client, a leading engineering company, is seeking a Finance & Admin Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in the financial management of the organisation whilst overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations.
Salary: Upto £50,000 DOE
Hours: 8am till 4pm
Location: Basildon
Responsibilities:
Review monthly profit and loss reports created by the management accountant and present them at monthly management review meetings
Manage the sales and purchase ledgers, including cash in and payments out
Oversee credit control, actively chasing and managing priority debtors, as well as credit checking new and existing customers
Take charge of bank, petty cash, and credit card reconciliations
Ensure timely returns to HMRC by overseeing the payroll function
Assist with the production of financial statements and corporation tax returns
Handle general office management tasks, including managing the company car fleet, stationery, and leasing requirements
Manage the company's insurances in a cost-effective manner, covering commercial combined, motor fleet, travel, and health insurance
Lead the purchasing function, including the procurement of manufacturing raw materials and goods for resale
Take responsibility for managing the company's IT requirements and liaise with third-party IT support
Maintain accounting records for the property management company and liaise with managing agents as necessary
Manage the order processing function through to despatch
Liaise with the company's HR and Legal third-party support as and when requiredThe Ideal Candidate:
Holds senior accounts management experience in a similar business
Exhibits an organised, proactive, and deadline-focused approach
Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others
Demonstrates a sharp focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Has experience in creating profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flows
