THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is looking to appoint experienced Bench Hand Joiners for our client based in Gateshead. The role will be offered on a temporary to permanent contract.
Our client performs bespoke joinery incorporating complex design, material understanding and project delivery extended beyond the normal range of joinery services.
THE ROLE
Working as a bench hand joiner delivering bespoke work
Reading Blueprints: Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
Cutting and Shaping Wood: Using hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and join wood components accurately
Assembling Joinery: Fitting and assembling various components, such as doors, cupboards, counters, reception desk, cabinetry, etc
Finishing: Sanding, staining, and finishing wood surfaces to achieve desired aesthetics and protection
Maintenance of Tools: Ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order
Quality Control: Inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary
Safety Compliance: Following safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Experienced bench hand joiner
Able to read drawings
Experienced delivering bespoke joinery solutions
Experienced working with commercial projects
Quality focused and taking pride in your work
