Freight Forwarder

Position: Freight Forwarder

Location: Liverpool, UK

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the import and export of goods across various international locations.
• Arrange collections with designated transportation companies.
• Collaborate with clients, branch offices, global agents, and transport providers to ensure efficient operations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and providing regular updates.
• Track shipments, manage invoicing, and handle pre-alerts from overseas offices and agents.
• Prepare and process Customs entries when required.
• Monitor shipments through to final delivery.
• Oversee job costing and invoicing tasks.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience working with a UK-based freight forwarding company.
• Experience in managing import/export operations across air, road, or sea freight.
• Solid understanding of customs clearance procedures.
• Proficiency with freight-related software such as Cargowise, Multifreight, etc.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
