Role Overview
As the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading and executing our marketing strategy, with a strong emphasis on brand and content marketing. You will play a crucial role in shaping the narrative of Jugo, driving brand awareness, and fostering commercial growth. This role requires a highly strategic thinker, preferably with hands-on experience in sports marketing, retail/eCommerce, brand activations, and content creation. Your work will directly impact our market positioning and revenue growth, making this a pivotal role in our high-growth journey.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Management:
- Experience with paid media and SEO
- Work with the Jugo management team to develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and goals.
- Brand Awareness: Achieve a measurable increase in brand recognition within target markets over the next 12 months.
- Brand Equity: Improve brand equity scores through consistent and compelling messaging.
Content Marketing & Growth:
- Work with the sales and content teams to develop and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy designed to grow the brand and establish Jugo as an industry thought leader.
- Content Engagement: Increase engagement rates (likes, shares, comments) on content quarter-over-quarter.
- Lead Generation: Drive inbound leads through content-driven strategies, contributing directly to the sales pipeline.
- Thought Leadership: secure global PR coverage featuring Jugo’s thought leadership.
Social Media:
- Create and manage a comprehensive social media plan with the support of a dedicated full-time team.
- Follower Growth: Achieve measurable growth in followers across all social platforms within the first 6 months.
- Social Traffic: Increase traffic from social media to the company website quarter-over-quarter.
Sports, Retail & Brand Activations:
- Manage the Arsenal and Jugo official partnership, maximizing effectiveness and results for Jugo. This partnership includes seasonal events, activations, hospitality, and content marketing.
- Activation Success: manage all activations to deliver against Jugo objectives.
- Fan Engagement: Boost fan engagement metrics (participation, satisfaction) for each event.
- ROI: Ensure that each activation delivers a positive ROI as measured by lead generation, brand exposure, and direct sales.
Commercial Growth & ROI:
- Work closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with GTM strategy and business development goals, driving lead generation and conversion.
- Revenue Growth: Contribute to an increase in overall revenue through marketing-driven initiatives within the first year.
- Conversion Rates: Improve lead-to-customer conversion rates by optimizing marketing and sales alignment.
- Cost Per Lead: Reduce the cost per lead through targeted, efficient marketing campaigns.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Provide leadership and guidance to a small marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability.
- Team Performance: Achieve increase in team productivity and output, as measured by completed projects and campaign success.
- Employee Engagement: Improve team engagement scores within the first 6 months through effective leadership and development initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Enhance the effectiveness of cross-functional work with studio, creative teams by reducing project completion time and driving efficiencies.
