Job Description
Simon Acres Recruitment are working with a well-established Builders Merchant based on the East Devon, who are seeking a Plumbing and Heating Sales Manager.
This is a permanent position paying up to £35,000 basic (DOE), plus bonus.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4.30pm and alternative Saturdays 8.00am - 12.00pm. Saturdays are classed as overtime and will be paid at the overtime rate. The overtime rate is not included in the salary stated above and will be paid in addition to this.
The Role:
In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of their full range of plumbing and heating products, taking a proactive approach to help drive this part of the business forward.
* Growing the plumbing and heating customer base.
* Generating new business within branch, over the phone and the occasional visit.
* Providing quotations for customers.
* Following up sales enquiries and quotes.
* Achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Purchasing materials and managing stock levels for the category.
* Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone.
* Providing excellent customer service and sound product advice.
* Continual personal development and update on product knowledge.
* Taking a proactive approach to plumbing and heating sales, using every opportunity to make and/or increase a sale.
Candidate Requirements:
Sound plumbing and heating product knowledge is essential for this role. The successful candidate should also have previous sales experience in a plumbing and heating merchant environment.
* Sound knowledge of plumbing and heating products
* Strong sales experience
* Excellent product knowledge
