Job Description

We are recruiting a Technical Aftersales Support Executive to support a manaufacturing company based in Birmingham. The role will report into the National Sales Manager. We are looking for someone who will go the extra mile to help all their customers.

Our client is a global player in battery-powered equipment. We develop, manufacture and sell a wide range of outdoor equipment across various sales channels.


In the United States they are a market leader and are aiming to become a major player in Europe in a very rapidly developing market.


They are searching for a Technical Aftersales Support colleague to help support customers. The role will be predominantly office based but we do operate hybrid working when possible. More details can be discussed at interview. The ideal candidate should be based in the West Bromwich/Birmingham and or surrounding areas. On occasion travel maybe required throughout the UK and Europe.


The main duties will be:


  • Management of after-sales service requests from customers, be they resellers, distributors, professional users, Management and monitoring of warranties using available systems.
  • Technical support for sales staff but also for resellers, distributors, end users and professional customers.
  • Technical support for shop chains or DIY centres, in support and collaboration of the respective national or local representatives.
  • Technical training of sales staff of distributors, specialized retailers or DIY store chains (e.g. roadshows, dedicated days, robot training, ...)
  • Participation in national and regional fair
  • Receive calls from customers (resellers, distributors and end users) and answer technical questions on all products of the different brands
  • Manage and resolve disputes and after-sales service issues
  • Contribute to the creation of a network of after-sales assistance centers
  • Participate in the development of sales forecasts on spare parts


The ideal candidate will have the following skills:


  • Experience of outdoor power equipment desirable not essential
  • Knowledge of instruction manuals
  • Good command of the technical nature of the products
  • Use of SAP/Outlook/Microsoft Office/Teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Is able to travel nationally and internationally (if necessary)
