Job Description
Our Public Sector client is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join them on a Temporary Basis.
Pay Rate: £19.39ph to £20.22ph
Job Purpose:
To deliver financial accounting and drive performance improvements through effective financial monitoring, advice and support by partnering with services.
Core Responsibilities:
• Champion excellent management of financial resources, promoting probity, efficiency, high performance and overall value for money with service areas.
• Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with team managers and their teams.
• Produce month end financial monitoring and lead services in undertaking regular and timely review and challenge.
• Support and advise strategic and operational decision-making, driving commercial opportunities and better business performance.
• Undertake specific duties as part of the production of the annual statement of accounts.
• Undertake specific duties in a designated area of specialism on behalf of the team.
• Support key projects with the provision of financial advice.
In order to apply you must possess the following:
* AAT qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of three years post qualification experience within a financial environment or substantial relevant demonstrable experience in finance.
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
* Experience of budget preparation and monitoring
* Experience/understanding of statutory accounting and reporting requirements
* Experience and knowledge of accounting for Housing Revenue Accounts
* A sound understanding of general accounting principles
* Experience in the use of MS Excel and MS Word (or equivalent) and integrated financial systems
Hybrid working is offered, expected to attend office regularly to ensure effective communication
