Payroll Assistant

Location: Chester (Hybrid 2 days WFH)

Salary: £32,000


Job Summary:
The Payroll Assistant will support the payroll department in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This role involves maintaining payroll records, verifying timesheets, and assisting with payroll-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all company employees.
  • Verify and enter employee timesheets and attendance records.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Support the payroll team with various administrative tasks as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in payroll or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

The ability to communicate clearly with varying groups of people and adjust your style accordingly.
