Job Description

The Role

We are launching an ambitious program designed to streamline processes and systems, fuelling future growth and efficiency. We're looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee key projects with a primary focus on implementing EDI (MuleSoft) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS - Auto-Store).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a bridge between IT and various departments, ensuring seamless integration of project goals.
  • Lead diverse IT projects, including business system implementations, migrations (upgrades, merges, and carve-outs), and the decommissioning of legacy systems.
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, following best-practice project management methods for phases like scoping, acceptance testing, and cutover.
  • Keep Programme Management informed with regular status updates on project progress.
  • Skilfully balance multiple projects, maintaining an unwavering focus on quality.
  • Work with fellow Project Managers to share insights and consistently deliver top-tier results.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Effectively manage change, influence stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to clearly define project objectives and requirements.


Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing IT projects focused on application delivery, particularly with EDI and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Relevant project management certifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or APM PPQ.
  • Demonstrated technical skills in application migration and adaptation to new environments.
  • Project management experience with cutover or test management phases is beneficial.
  • Solid understanding of application delivery, middleware, cloud infrastructure, data centers, end-user devices, data protection, and access management.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Success in a collaborative, matrixed environment with virtual teams from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment in complex situations.
