About The Role
RAC have an exciting new position for a Technical Legal Advice Manager to join our Legal Advisory team based in our iconic Bradley Stoke office on a permanent, full-time basis.
As a Technical Legal Advice Manager, you will be the first point of contact for the teams' legal queries and help ensure the team delivery quality legal advice every time. To do this you will need an excellent and up to date knowledge of the theory and application of law in a range of areas of private law, including, but not limited to, Employment Law, Property Law and Consumer Contracts.
Being part of a department that strives to exceed customer expectations, you will play a key part in developing and motivating your team to ensure that not only are they appropriately legally trained, and their knowledge remains up to date and relevant, they are also delivering key customer outcomes at every touch point.
This role involves managing team performance, fostering a positive work environment, and driving continuous improvement.
This is a hybrid working role with the opportunity to agree working hours between 08:00-20:00 Monday- Friday.

To be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and have evidence of 3 years or more of leading a successful team in legal services or in house practice.

What you will do...
- Create a positive working environment to enhance operational performance by providing clear guidance, support and motivation through effective communication.
- Monitor KPIs and proactively take steps to improve productivity and ensuring high quality standards are consistently met.
- Ensure legal expertise is maintained within the team enabling us to delivery upon customer expectations and contractual obligations.
- Manage the recruitment process for all legally trained colleagues within the Advisory team.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Manager by supporting completion of agreed levels of monitoring such as FCA call quality, TCF, complaint cases.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Manager to identify legal training and development needs for team members and drive performance through regular training, coaching and 121s.
- Ensure team adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
