Job Description
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (S63, Rotherham)
Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School in S63, Rotherham
Days: Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
Pay Rate: £85 - £100 per day
Contract: Immediate start with the possibility of a temporary to permanent contract
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 1 with special educational needs at a primary school in the S63 area of Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for making a positive difference in a child's educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
* Assist in managing the pupil's behavior and emotional needs, using positive reinforcement techniques.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized learning plans.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Monitor the pupil's progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
* Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all times.
Skills & Requirements:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
* Ability to build a trusting relationship with the pupil and work collaboratively with staff.
* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate are desirable but not essential.
