HV Supervisor

Our Vacancy

The HV Supervisor is directly responsible for ensuring that all electricity networks are installed in a safe and professional manner and to a high standard and in line with TRICONNEX Method Statements. The HV Supervisor should have good knowledge of the different DNO/IDNO standards to ensure conformity. The HV Supervisor is directly responsible to the HV Senior Supervisor.

So, What will I be responsible for?

• To be responsible for the overseeing of HV and LV installations
• To manage and supervise all site personnel
• To assess potentially hazardous and dangerous situations and to take appropriate action so as to ensure the safety of personnel, other site operatives and the general public
• To carry out risk assessments of the workplace
• To carry out audits and inspection of the workplace, tools, equipment and company vehicles
• To prepare switching programmes for approval by another SAP Engineer
• To assist in the testing and commissioning of HV/LV distribution systems

What do you need to have?

To be considered for this role you must have previous experience with substation installations and a minimum of 2 years experience at AP level. You will also have;

• Strong Knowledge of the Electricity Supply, Quality, Continuity Regulations
• Strong knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations
• Health and Safety at Work Act (Advanced)
• LV Authorised Person
• First Aid (Advanced)
• Risk assessment training (Advanced)
• Incorporated Engineer (preferable)
• Experience in distribution systems through the range 400v to 33kv
• Ability to read schematic drawings and understand content
• Strong proven background within Electrical Engineering
• NRSWA, SMSTS and CSCS/SHEA cards IDNO/DNO in date competences
