Co-Operative Locality Officer - Homes and Communities Department

£29,905.08 per annum, plus a £1,680.00 car allowance

37.5 hours per week

About the role

An exciting new opportunity has arisen in the Homes and Communities Department which involves providing a high-quality housing service to a portfolio of properties across West Midlands that includes a number of Co-Operatives in accordance with their individual Housing Management Contracts.

You will ensure that there is coordinated service provision with colleagues, that is flexible and responsive, across all identified housing management tasks associated with income management, lettings, void management, breaches of tenancy, resident engagement and to deliver excellent customer service to residents.

The information and data that you record must be detailed and accurate to support professional reports for Co-Operative Committees and other external and internal key stakeholders in the timescales required and ensuring representation at formal meetings when required which may include working up to six evening meetings per month (between 7-9pm).

This role will provide experience of working with customers with differing needs and expectations and will be central in supporting the aims and objectives of each Co-Operative.

About You

  • You will have experience of a working in the housing sector with a working knowledge of housing functions including income collection.
  • You will have an infectious passion for housing and an enthusiasm to shape both service development and your own personal development.
  • It is essential that you have good communication skills and a ‘can do' approach to working positively with internal and external stakeholders and forging positive collaborative working to achieve the obligations of the management agreements in place.
  • You will be a confident user of housing management systems and keep accurate and service compliant records that support the content required for organisational reports.
